 10p from every bikini purchased by you supports the work of Bali’s ROLE FOUNDATION . This contribution comes entirely from our own profits.

 Role Foundation runs a Zero waste facility and environmental development programme in Bali. Their vision supports zero waste to oceans, sustainable businesses for coastal communities and women’s business education and development.

 Choosing to shop with us results in donation towards the goal of zero ocean waste and healthy oceans. Together we can succeed in banning the plastic water bottles!

 

We give you the Best Eco Options

 We have sourced Italian vita by Carvico. In our opinion this is the best ecological fabric for swimwear available. It is made from ECONYL, which is 100% regenerated nylon and polyester from post-consumer materials. It is impressively comfortable and durable – and has superior resistance to degradations from chlorine, creams and sun oils. Aside fabrics we make all fabric prints using eco-ink, and re-useable boxes for packaging.

 

SUPPLIERS 

From the supplier end, any of the fabric waste is recycled again externally. We minimise use of single-serving and plastics at our premises, all staff are given free metal water bottles, and as mentioned above we educate staff about waste management at work and home.

 We only use suppliers who provide exceptional working conditions.

 Our suppliers far exceed minimum labour standards in their business, production and sourcing practices. All their staff are paid above award wages at up to three times the standard. They negotiate their own contract and salaries; and are also provided with comprehensive health insurance for themselves and their family and paid an extra month salary yearly. Working hours are less than 40 hours per week, meal allowance is included and any overtime (voluntary) is paid accordingly.

Aside the basics required by law they also have profit sharing scheme paid yearly of which staff at all levels are included. They pride themselves in ongoing worker engagement in business development and decision making; and provide opportunities in worker training, capacity building and personal development. Business English training by EF is also offered at regular basis.

Our suppliers also promote a healthy work/life balance and to invite a bit of fun to the workplace by arranging free Zumba dancing and soccer practice for all the staff who wants to join.
